Rocky Mount Woman Charged With Murder After Fatal Shooting at Wilson Motel Saturday Morning

WILSON, N.C. — A Rocky Mount woman is facing a murder charge after a man was found shot to death Saturday morning at a Wilson motel, according to the Wilson Police Department. Officers arrested the suspect just moments after discovering the victim’s body behind the property.

Police responded around 10:14 a.m. on November 29 to a report of gunfire at America’s Best Value Inn, located at 1815 U.S. 301 South in Wilson.

When officers arrived, they found Kenneth Ray Finch Jr., 39, of Wilson, suffering from a gunshot wound. Finch was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators quickly identified Daisy Letrecia Muldrow, 55, of Rocky Mount, as the suspect. Officers located and arrested Muldrow in a wooded area behind the motel shortly after the shooting.

Authorities believe the homicide was an isolated incident and say there is no ongoing threat to the public.
