Durham Sheriffs Investigating Shooting on Wake Forest Highway

DURHAM  (Monday, March 23, 2026) – The Durham County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting. At approximately 6:30 p.m., a single victim who is believed to have been shot at an unknown location, was found on the 3700 block of Wake Forest Hwy.

They were taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  

At this time it appears to be an isolated incident.

This is an active investigation and more information will be released when appropriate.
