Serving Beyond: Adra Campbell, Licensed Esthetician Balancing Beauty & Wellness
Raleigh, NC – Adra Campbell is a Licensed Esthetician who has been intrigued by the health and beauty industry since her pre-teen years. She decided to take the dive into the esthetician profession after her own personal struggles with her skin since the age of 19. She realized her challenges and sense of hopelessness was not in vain. Adra’s experiences with her skin care have equipped her to help others accomplish the skin they’ve always hoped for. When her clients express how her treatments have changed their lives, she regains a sense of purpose.
After graduating from Miller-Motte College in 2014, Adra knew it was time to serve beyond her 9-5 role and launch into the entrepreneurial arena as an esthetician. She highlights that taking this leap wasn’t easy, but it also wasn’t the most complicated thing in the world to initiate. It is indeed possible, and she encourages anyone desiring to step into their dream role to just start! Start asking questions. Start doing the research. Create a plan, and if you are not sure who to ask, where to go or where to begin, pray and ask God for guidance.
Adra felt the urge to begin serving beyond her 9-5 day job when she accepted and welcomed the idea that she does not fit into the mold of corporate America. She fell in love with the notion that she can create her own mold in the beauty and wellness industry. She believes her creativity and gifts are her God-given superpowers and she cannot fake her passion and calling. Adra serves as Founder and Owner of B.Enhanced Beauty. Her company focuses on allowing her clients to embrace their innate beauty. She helps her clients connect with the idea of balancing beauty and wellness. B. Enhanced Beauty does not desire to contribute to society’s unhealthy obsession to be perfect, but instead focuses on a balanced enhancement of beauty. She helps those in her community embrace the idea that taking care of oneself and designating “me time” isn’t selfish but is essential.
As a health and beauty entrepreneur and Licensed Esthetician, Adra desires to expand her skill-set and currently has her attention set on a couple of new procedures. She recently obtained her Certification as a Mink Lash Stylist, which she received training with Vee Washington of Natural Beauties by Vee. She states, “I’m definitely at the stage of investing in myself via education.” Her goal is to continue to upgrade her brand as uniquely and organically as possible.
When asked who has served as her inspiration to focus on health, wellness and beauty as an entrepreneur, the first person that came to mind was Tia Teasley, Founder and Owner of The Duchess of Brows. She highlights, “Tia is an esthetician and more than skilled when it comes to the health and wellness industry and is truly a God-Sent. She has really pushed and challenged me to be an effective and wise entrepreneur. She gets on me about taking care of myself and making that a top priority. I was blessed to cross paths with Tia and appreciate how her input and advice sharpens me.” Adra believes it is essential to surround yourself with entrepreneurs of like mind and/or industry in order to succeed. In the next five years, Adra desires to host creative events that enrich the message about health and wellness. She envisions herself launching multiple locations of her business and speaking at various events. Her overall vision is to present her brand in a creatively innovative way to its optimum potential and continue to serve others in their overall health and wellness.
