20th Annual African-American Cultural Celebration Shines Virtually Sat. January 30th

cultural celebrationRALEIGH, NC – The 20th Annual African-American Cultural Celebration (AACC) will hold online virtual sessions on Saturday, January 30th. The AACC is a collaborative effort presented to the public by the North Carolina Museum of History. This annual celebration shines a light on contributions African-Americans have made to the history and culture of North Carolina. Due to Covid restrictions, the AACC Committee has created a schedule of online performances, showings, and informational sessions that bring together artists, musicians, filmmakers, and community organizations throughout North Carolina. The 2021 theme “Health and Healing” will include information for African-Americans about self-care and health disparities.

cultural celebrationThe annual AACC Festival would usually include very active performances by artists and reenactments by local actors, actresses, and troops. Music, art, and handmade crafts make the event enlightening and enjoyable for North Carolina residents of all ages. From pottery classes to history sessions the African-American cultural celebration promotes the significance of our hometown heroes and entrepreneurs of color that the public can learn from, support, and pay homage and respect. The North Carolina Museum of History has dedicated itself to bring the public these special memories and events, even during the pandemic.

  1. Awesome blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally confused .. Any ideas? Appreciate it!
