Black Teen Entrepreneur, Essynce Moore, Launches New Feminine Hygiene Products

Essynce Moore

ATLANTA – This past January, Essynce Moore, an 18-year-old serial entrepreneur, launched yet another product… a trailblazing yoni care brand called Kitty By Essynce. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, but originally from Hillside, New Jersey, Essynce has written three books about her middle school journey, designed and styled children’s fashion, and created her own line of lip paint and perfume. However, Kitty is all about feminine hygiene and cleansing the sensitive areas.

The new products include two new Yoni refresher sprays, an oil, and three new washes. One of the unique things is her products are made out of all-natural products. Developed in partnership with an alchemist at their laboratory, each vegan product is free of chlorine, alcohol, parabens, silicone, sulfate or SLS, phthalate, propylene glycol, dye, artificial fragrances, DEA, lye. In addition, the products are cruelty-free and non-GMO.

“I started taking overall health in general seriously when I was 15 years old. I watched this documentary called “What The Health” that started me on this journey. I just started doing more research. So in terms of the Kitty products, I was definitely familiar with herbs and things of that nature, so I said ‘okay now what specifically is good for that part of the body?’. That’s a sacred space so we started using different soaps and oils, honestly anything that just comes from nature,” said Essynce.

Despite being only 18, Essynce is a go-getter. Her main motivation is to encourage self-love to all because it can easily be forgotten about. Essynce. explained, “I started creating body products when I was about 12 or 13, but recently in terms of the Kitty products, my mom came to me to talk about it. We were like okay we’re not seeing this amongst the teens or youth in terms of products that are specifically geared toward that area. So we were like let’s do this, we always say if you can’t see it create it.”

Not only does Essynce have a cosmetic and soap line, but she is also always very involved in designing fashion and writing her books. Essynce has also been awarded 2016 Teenpreneur of the Year by Black Enterprise, as well as, awarded a Proclamation by the City of Passaic (NJ) and the State of New Jersey – Senate and General Assembly upon the auspicious occasion of the Grand Opening of her business, Essynce Couture Spa and Boutique, LLC in 2015. But with all of the hard work comes challenges, especially while being a young Black girl.

“I think they’re cons and pros [to being a young Black girl].  Some of the cons are definitely having a societal limit of what we can do or what we’re capable of. Not just being known as strictly a Black person in business rather than just someone in business.  Some of the pros are being able to inspire children that look like me. They say I can do it and they’re like okay I can definitely do that too. That’s only one of the perks of it,” said Essynce.

Essynce, always looking for innovative ways to make teens feel more comfortable in their skin, is hoping to get her cosmetic products into stores soon to make them more widely available. Essynce always says to her fans “Do not ever let your age be a limit to what you are capable of, it should not stop you from pursuing your dreams.”
