The Flightless Bird

 

i wonder what it feels like

to stand at the edge,

the edge of a tall building

and fall.

would it be peaceful,

or scary.

would it be exhilarating,

or frightening.

will the world miss

the woman i was.

or would they laugh along

with the crows,

making fun of

the flightless bird,

who longed to fly.
