Healthy Heritage Lifestyle To Bring ‘Sisters’ Day of Wellness’ To Durham

Healthy HeritageDurham, NCBenniegirl Healthy Lifestyle Branding & Communication announces its’ inaugural Healthy Heritage Lifestyle Sisters’ Day of Wellness. This day of interactive conversations for your mind and body takes place on October 15, 2022, at NCCU’s School of Education from 10 am to 3 pm.

Women of color, regardless of income or education are reported to have the highest correlated rates of heart disease and obesity. Healthy Heritage Lifestyles presents a day for women to gather, learn and discuss how to manage their health better. These discussions and workshops by and for women of color are provided in a setting where participants feel comfortable, supported, and involved in shaping the future of their health and their families’ health. Presenters include Dr. Erikka Dzirasa, psychiatrist to discuss mind/body relationships, Chef Kibri Everett, owner of Epic Vegan Soul Food, for a cooking demonstration and lunch, Patrice Carr, a nutritionist with Durham County Public Health, Benita Perkins, fitness and movement expert, dermatologist, Dr. Brooke Jackson to provide beauty and anti-aging tips, naturopath, Patrice Crisp, ND and newly added guest, Durham County Commissioner Brenda Howerton.
