Panthers Stay Hot to Down Eagles in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Carolina Panthers continued building momentum Sunday afternoon, delivering an impressive 25-14 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

Led by quarterback Bryce Young and a relentless defensive performance, Carolina improved to 3-2 while handing Philadelphia its fourth consecutive defeat.

Young commanded the Panthers’ offense, completing 20 of 39 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns. Tight end Tommy Tremble emerged as his favorite red-zone target, hauling in four receptions for 46 yards and two scores.

Carolina established control early when kicker Ryan Fitzgerald connected on a 47-yard field goal in the opening quarter.

Young extended the advantage with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Tremble in the second quarter, giving the Panthers a 10-0 lead.

Philadelphia responded with a two-yard touchdown run from Dameon Pierce, cutting Carolina’s halftime advantage to 10-7.

However, the Panthers took command after halftime.

Fitzgerald drilled a 52-yard field goal before running back Chuba Hubbard capped a 92-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. Hubbard finished with 120 rushing yards on 28 carries, providing Carolina with a dependable ground attack.

The Eagles briefly threatened when backup quarterback Tanner McKee connected with DeVonta Smith for a 19-yard touchdown, narrowing the deficit to 19-14.

But Carolina refused to surrender its lead.
Following a crucial defensive stand and a blocked Philadelphia punt, Young found Tremble for another 19-yard touchdown, effectively sealing the victory.

Carolina’s defense dominated throughout the afternoon, holding Philadelphia to just 222 total yards, including only 35 rushing yards.

Wide receivers Jalen Coker and Tetairoa McMillan also contributed significantly, combining for 183 receiving yards.

The victory marks Carolina’s third win in five games, signaling growing confidence for a Panthers team determined to establish itself as a contender in the NFC South.
