TRAILER WATCH: ‘Jumanji: Open World’ Brings Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and the Gang Into Our World
The Jumanji crew is back, but this time the jungle isn’t their biggest problem. The game is invading the real world, and we’ve got your first look at the adventure.
HOLLYWOOD — Just when you thought it was safe to put down the controller, Jumanji is preparing to turn the real world upside down.

Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan are reuniting for Jumanji: Open World, the final installment of the blockbuster adventure trilogy. And this time, the game isn’t pulling players into its dangerous jungle — Jumanji is breaking out into our world.
That twist promises a new kind of chaos for the franchise’s familiar heroes, whose previous adventures required them to survive deadly obstacles, unpredictable creatures, and the rules of a mysterious video game.
Jumanji Escapes the Game — And Nothing Is Safe
In the previous films, the characters found themselves transported into Jumanji’s extraordinary world, where surviving meant understanding their avatars’ strengths, weaknesses and sometimes disastrous limitations.
Jumanji: Open World reverses that formula.
According to the official film synopsis, the heroes have escaped Jumanji’s perilous jungles before, but the game now breaks free of its console, unleashing its chaos into everyday life.
The premise opens the door to an entirely different adventure as familiar surroundings collide with the unpredictable dangers of Jumanji.
And judging by the promotional imagery, the returning characters are once again finding themselves in situations that call for courage, teamwork, and plenty of comic relief.
Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and the Original Team Return
The franchise’s central quartet returns, bringing together the personalities and comedic chemistry that helped make the previous adventures audience favorites.
Johnson reprises his place at the center of the ensemble alongside Hart, Black and Gillan.
The announced cast also includes Alex Wolff, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain and Madison Iseman, with Nick Jonas and Danny DeVito.
The returning lineup reconnects the new installment with the characters and relationships established throughout the series.
Jake Kasdan Returns to Direct the Final Adventure
Jake Kasdan returns as director, continuing his involvement with the franchise.
The screenplay is credited to Kasdan, Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg, with the story based on Chris Van Allsburg’s original Jumanji book.
Producers include Matt Tolmach, Kasdan, Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia.
The studio describes Jumanji: Open World as the final installment of the trilogy, positioning the upcoming film as the conclusion to this chapter of the franchise.
