LOS ANGELES, CA — The late, legendary author Eric Jerome Dickey—whose words redefined modern Black love stories—returns to screens through Lifetime’s newest original, Friends and Lovers, premiering across two nights, Saturday, Nov. 15, and Sunday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

A Story Where Love and Loyalty Collide
Set against the backdrop of laughter, loss, and second chances, Friends and Lovers follows Debra (Naturi Naughton), a driven, Type-A doctor whose world spins when she reconnects with Shelby (Simone Missick), her free-spirited best friend.
Their lives soon intertwine with Leonard (Kendrick Sampson), a rising but struggling comedian, and Tyrese (RonReaco Lee), his loyal confidant. As love deepens and loyalties are tested, the four friends navigate heartbreak, healing, and the kind of tragedy that forces them to redefine what it means to be family.
