Durham Bulls Drop 3rd Straight Game Against Norfolk

Durham, NC — The Norfolk Tides defeated the Durham Bulls for the third straight game 5-4
on Thursday night at the DBAP.


The Tides (19-31) matched their longest winning streak of the season by scoring the final three runs of the game for the second consecutive game.

Enrique Bradfield tied the game in the seventh with a single to score Silas Ardoin. Jose Barrero homered in the eighth against Owen Wild (L, 3-1) to put the Tides ahead.

After Norfolk scored an insurance run in the ninth against reliever Evan Reifert, the Bulls (30-23) sliced the deficit to 5-4 on Xavier Isaac’s first career Triple-A homer.

After a single by Jack Suwinski, Jose Espada (S, 6) fanned Oliver Dunn and pinch-hitter Tre Morgan to
close out the Norfolk win.


Logan Workman worked 4 2/3 innings, permitting two runs and fanning seven.


After the Tides took a 2-0 lead in the third, Durham tied the game with a pair in the last of the third. With two outs, Logan Davidson doubled, followed by an RBI-double from Victor Mesa Jr, who then scored on a single by Jake Fraley.

Durham took a 3-2 lead in the sixth on a soft double to left by Caden Bodine to bring home Fraley.

Clippers Mason Englert (1-6, 5.34) is expected to start Friday night against Trace Bright (1-9, 7.46) at
6:45 PM ET.
