TRAILER WATCH: Women Are Disappearing — And a Detective Is Closing In on a Dangerous Obsession in ‘Forever My Lady’
A string of missing women. A detective determined to find out what happened. And a man whose obsession with one woman may leave even more victims behind.
That’s the disturbing setup for Forever My Lady, a new psychological horror thriller from writer and director Mann Robinson.
The film puts Torrei Hart at the center of the investigation as Detective Shanel Reid, alongside a cast that includes Darius McCrary, Clifton Powell, Cocoa Brown and Jamie Bernadette.

A Missing-Women Investigation Takes a Dark Turn
As women begin disappearing across the city, Detective Shanel Reid becomes immersed in an increasingly troubling investigation.
Her search eventually leads to Sebastian, a dangerous man whose fixation on one woman threatens to leave shattered lives, broken families, and additional victims in its wake.
The premise places obsession at the center of a story that blends a criminal investigation with psychological horror.
And judging from the first images, Forever My Lady isn’t interested in making its audience comfortable.
Torrei Hart, Darius McCrary and Clifton Powell Lead the Investigation
Hart stars as Detective Shanel Reid, while Darius McCrary plays Detective Dale Dumars and veteran actor Clifton Powell portrays Captain Harris.
Jamie Bernadette stars as Irene Ludwick, with Luca Della Valle as Sebastian and Cocoa Brown as Mama Moore.
The cast also includes Michael Emery as Jacob Alexander, Tracey Nicole Graves as Tracy Jetter, Jermaine Hopkins as Terell Danks — also known as Banks — and Jayson Warner Smith as Fogarty.
When Obsession Becomes Dangerous
The filmmakers describe Forever My Lady as a dark, suspense-driven story exploring obsession, investigation, survival and the devastating consequences that follow when fixation turns dangerous.
That leaves plenty unanswered: Who is Sebastian obsessed with? What connects the missing women? And how close can Detective Reid get before the investigation puts her — or someone else — in danger?
For those answers, we’ll have to watch.
