Bulls Seal Series In Big Second Inning
JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Durham Bulls (39-33) took care of business by defeating the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (38-34), by the score of 6-2, thanks to 3B Tristan Gray’s two runs, where one of them was a homer, during the 7th Inning – His 15th of the season. This was the fourth win of the series for the Durham Bulls in six games.
Gray’s homer in the seventh inning was the highlight of the game.
The Jumbo Shrimp got on board, as they scored the initial run of the game, thanks to a right-field homer from 3B Joey Wendle, as Jacksonville led by the score of 1-0.
The second inning was when the Bulls did the most damage, as they scored five runs. The players who scored the five runs in the top of the second were SS Jim Haley, DH David Rodriguez, RF Grant Witherspoon, 3B Tristan Gray, and 2B Miles Mastrobuoni, to put them up by the score of 5-1. Then, during the bottom of the second, RF JJ Bleday scored in what ended up being the last run for the Jumbo Shrimp, as they trailed 5-2, commencing the second inning.
During the top of the seventh, 3B Tristan Gray hit a home run, which ended up being the last run scored in the game, to give the Bulls a 6-2 lead, which ended up being the final score.

Finally, for Jacksonville, Jake Fishman closed it out by pitching two innings, with two hits allowed and one strikeout recorded.
This was the Durham Bulls’ 39th win of the season. The Bulls lost to the Jumbo Shrimp last night by the score of 1-0, where Shrimp 2B Charles LeBlanc scored the lone run of the game, during the bottom of the fourth.
The Durham Bulls begin a six-game road series against their in-state rivals, the Charlotte Knights on Tuesday, June 28th at Truist Field in Charlotte. The Bulls will return home on Monday, July 4th, as they face the Memphis Redbirds in a six-game homestand at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Tickets are on sale at the Box Office.
On the other hand, the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp travel to Memphis, TN to face the Firebirds in a six-game series.
