Doric Masonic Lodge #28 PHA To Host J.C. “Skeepie” Scarborough Memorial Golf Tournament

DURHAM, NC – The Brothers of Doric Masonic Lodge #28 PHA of Durham, North Carolina are hosting its annual golf tournament to honor and commemorate J.C. “Skeepie” Scarborough on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Hillandale Golf Course (1600 Hillandale Rd). 

Skeepie, as he was affectionately known, was a pillar of the Durham business community. Mr. Scarborough was a Durham native and the fifth-generation CEO of Scarborough & Hargett Celebration of Life Center, Inc. He was dedicated to continuing the professional excellence passed down to him from generation to generation and this dedication did not end there. He served on several national and local boards, but his true passion was giving back to his community. His love for the Bull City was evident through his many charitable acts and community service efforts.

The J.C. “Skeepie” Scarborough Memorial Golf Tournament is a scholarship event devoted to supporting educational scholarships, one of the charitable causes continued by his wife, Queen Scarborough. The Brothers of Doric Masonic Lodge #28 PHA invite the community to join them on the links for a day of fun to support a great cause.
