DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University women’s basketball program has unveiled its regular season schedule for the 2023-24 season, featuring 15 non-conference games and its usual slate of 14 league games.

NCCU will open up its season with the first of two games against ‘Power 5’ programs when the Eagles will fly to Seattle, Washington, to play the University of Washington on Thursday, Nov. 9. NCCU will also play Durham neighbor Duke University in the first month of the season.

The Eagles will return to the East Coast and will then play four games in eight days before Thanksgiving, beginning with a road contest at Wofford College (Nov. 14).

That early stretch will feature a three-game homestand in six days. NCCU will make its home debut on Friday, Nov. 17, against Mid-Atlantic Christian University. The Eagles will also entertain Johnson & Wales University (Nov. 19) and Western Carolina University (Nov. 22) inside McDougald-McLendon Arena.

NC Central will have a busy road schedule between Thanksgiving and the start of conference play early in the New Year, with nine away tilts currently slated over that time span. That road swing will begin with a marquee contest at Duke University on Sunday, Nov. 26. NCCU’s last non-conference contest will be a home tilt against North Carolina Wesleyan College (Jan. 16).

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) schedule will once again consist of 14 games. The Eagles will play the other seven members both at home and on the road.
