Durham Police Investigate Fatal Thursday Morning Shooting 

DURHAM, NC – The Durham Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Denfield Street Thursday morning (Feb. 8).

At approximately 6:54 am on Thursday, February 8, 2024, officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 4500 block of Denfield Street. When officers arrived, they found an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased.  

Investigators are on the scene determining the circumstances surrounding this incident. 

This is an ongoing investigation, and there are no suspects in custody at this time. This appears to be an isolated incident. Additional information will be released at the appropriate time.
