“The Ultimate Financial Wellness Playbook”!
Chapel Hill, NC – “The Ultimate Financial Wellness Playbook”!, a financial education seminar, will be presented by the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in partnership with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Psi Gamma Omega Chapter (Hillsborough, NC). This free event for the community will take place at the Seymour Senior Center (2551 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill) on February 9th from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Financial fitness is important and affects everyone, and it is a key element to maintaining strong communities.
Our target market is adults along with special sessions for teens (High School) on vocational career options and being financially prepared for college. Attendees will leave financially “well” with playbook tips that will enable them to enhance their understanding of entrepreneurship, financial empowerment, and consumer education. They will be able to set goals, develop a plan to achieve them, and put the plan into action. A variety of speakers from within our local community will provide interactive sessions on topics such as:
- Financial Fraud Awareness
- Credit Repair
- Steps to Developing Your Own Business
- Flipping Homes
- Vocational Career Options
- Planning Financially for College
This seminar will contribute to Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sororities in their efforts to promote an Economic Development initiative with a focus on creating wealth and eliminating financial barriers.
